Isle of Wight (Beautiful Island) from London
About this trip
Join us on a scenic day trip to the Isle of Wight, one of the UK’s most beloved island destinations — no passport required! Travel in comfort by coach from London to Southampton, then enjoy a picturesque ferry crossing (approx. 1 hour) to the island.
Spend your day discovering two highlights: 🌄 The Needles Landmark Attraction, where you can take the optional chairlift down to the stunning beach below (ticket not included), and enjoy either the speedboat ride for a thrilling blast around the coast or the cruise boat ride for a slower, more relaxed experience. 🏖️ Shanklin Beach, perfect for a seaside stroll, classic fish and chips, or a dip in the sea!
Whether you're coming as a family, with friends, or solo, it’s the perfect short getaway to refresh and explore — all in one day.
Itinerary
- Experience the magic of the Isle of Wight on this scenic and activity-packed day trip, featuring dramatic landscapes, iconic landmarks, and peaceful beaches.
- Your journey begins with about an hour ferry ride across the channel, offering panoramic sea views and a refreshing start to your island adventure.
- Our first destination is the legendary Needles Landmark Attraction Resort, home to one of the most famous natural sights in the UK.
- Take a scenic chairlift ride down to the pebble beach below, where the views are simply breath-taking.
- Take in the spectacular view of the multi-coloured sand cliffs of Alum Bay, known for their striking bands of red, white, and ochre hues—formed naturally over thousands of years.
- From the beach, choose between two boat options to get even closer to the iconic Needles rock formation: the speedboat ride for a thrilling blast around the coast, or the cruise boat ride for a slower, more relaxed experience.
- Both offer excellent views of the towering chalk cliffs and the striking Needles Lighthouse, which stands proudly at the tip of the formation, guarding the westernmost point of the island.
- After exploring this awe-inspiring coastal landscape, we head to Shanklin Beach, a classic seaside destination with soft golden sands, a traditional promenade, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for unwinding.
- Enjoy a stroll, a paddle, or just relax and take in the sea breeze.
